Mentoring

Mentoring Big Brothers is a man-to-man mentoring program which is designed to match mentees with positive male mentors that can relate to their situation and connect them to resources. The men being mentored in our program are between the ages of 18-25. Most of them are currently on bond or on probation. Studies show that through mentoring recidivism was reduced. Persons who had a mentor to provide guidance were most likely to succeed, most likely to get a job, and most likely to adhere to formal intervention programs. (Sources: Bauldry et al., 2009).
